Blogger Behind the Scenes
What happens when you add up a handful of bloggers, two photographers, and an amazing jewelry designer? You get one of the best days with your blog to date. A car full of outfits, boxes of jewelry, amazing friendships, and so much more.
I’m here to provide an exclusive look into the behind the scenes of being a blogger, the glam edition! Sure, we have nights in sweatpants with glasses of wine writing posts, managing all the SEO, scheduling social media, and more. But these photos are a great way to show the extra fun stuff. Getting dolled up. Having our hair and makeup done, taking hundreds of photos, and laughing through the entire thing.
Make sure to check out the amazing folks behind this day!

Hair & Makeup by goldplaited
We started the morning at the amazing finishing salon, goldplaited, in Lakeview. Hair, makeup, champagne (thanks, Erin!), and more. The stylists at goldplaited were absolutely amazing to us. I felt so glamorous getting done up for the day!
From there, we explored some amazing locations around Lakeview including some great walls, art, and the underside of the train! We even snuck onto the top of a parking garage where Erin got a little dangerous to get the perfect shot. File under: shit bloggers do.
It was so great to get together with a bunch of other bloggers to bounce ideas, tips, and more off of each other. When it’s just you and your photographer/partner/whoever, you find yourself getting stuck in ruts left and right. Is that pose getting old? What about this look? We all helped and supported each other. We loaded pieces where necessary and gave styling advice to each other. Erin brought her jewelry and we all got to rock some our favorite pieces, too! Chelsea brought some of her vintage wear and we rocked those. Overall, we got to support and help each other out in such a great way. We’re gonna try to make this a regular thing!
Some of my favorite parts of the day were honestly the least glamorous. Changing out of the back of a car. Drinking champagne straight from the bottle for a little liquid courage. Climbing up rail supports to get the perfect shot. The things we bloggers do to make sure everything is perfect on camera can be a little ridiculous but I love every second of it. And with these girls? Even better. We’re definitely becoming a family and it’s so great.
Fellow bloggers, what are your behind the scenes like? If you’re not a blogger, is this anything like what you expected? I want to hear all your thoughts in the comments!
